Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client’s team in Newton, Kansas. In this full-time role, the RN will provide high-quality care to patients in the medical/surgical department, working in collaboration with a dynamic healthcare team. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Med/Surg department, including assessments, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Assist in patient education, explaining procedures, medications, and aftercare instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other medical staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests, record patient progress, and update medical records.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly, providing high-level patient care.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, industry standards, and safety protocols.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kansas or eligible for licensure.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Med/Surg nursing role preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge, with excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
