JOB SUMMARY:

• Perform clinical laboratory assays in one or more technical disciplines
• Accurately handle specimens, print labels, and enter/verify patient data
• Report results in a timely, legible, and meaningful format with appropriate reference values
• Ensure age-appropriate test selection and reference ranges
• Provide timely availability of laboratory results
• Conduct quality control activities and respond to outlier results
• Participate in proficiency testing and maintain instrumentation
• Prepare calibrators, reagents, and other materials

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately produce test results and evaluate variances
• Demonstrate consistent, independent judgment under varying workload pressure
• Communicate technical information clearly, both in direct communication and by phone
• Possess qualities of integrity and good judgment
• Maintain physical and emotional well-being
