Position Overview
The Nuclear Medical Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Operate and maintain nuclear imaging equipment, including SPECT and PET systems
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and hospital protocols
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide clear instructions and compassionate care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to deliver timely results
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- ARRT (N)Â certification required
- Active Arizona state licensure
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply)
