Local Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Albany, GA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks | Schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-Hour Nights)
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,400 (Based on Experience)

Connected Health Care, a trusted recruitment and staffing partner, is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a local travel assignment in Albany, Georgia. If you are a skilled RN with solid Med/Surg experience and a passion for patient care, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a supportive and engaging clinical environment.

Position Overview:
This night shift position includes rotating weekends and a holiday commitment of 2 out of 3 major holidays. You’ll work in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit with a focus on high-quality care and strong clinical collaboration. Experience with sickle cell patients and PIV insertion is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care on a busy Med/Surg unit

  • Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document responses

  • Perform IV insertions and manage care for sickle cell patients

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care

  • Maintain accurate documentation using hospital protocols and EMR systems

  • Provide education and support to patients and families

Requirements:

  • Active GA or Compact RN License

  • AHA BLS and NIHSS Certifications required

  • AHA ACLS highly preferred

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience

  • Travel nursing experience preferred

  • Must have recent experience with Sickle Cell and PIV Insertion

  • Strong clinical skills and ability to thrive in a team-based environment
