What You'll Do:
As an ICU RN, you'll provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients, conducting thorough assessments, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Your expertise will help patients recover and ensure their safety and comfort during their most vulnerable times.
Required Skills:
- Valid RN license issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU or acute care experience
- Proficiency in patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing patient conditions
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certification in BLS and ACLS (preferred upon hire; can be obtained within six months)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) from the Emergency Nurses Association
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Experience working in a hospital ICU setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (BSN preferred)
- Prior ICU or critical care experience in a hospital environment
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7pm – 7am)
- Willingness to participate in educational activities and professional development
- Compliance with OSHA and hospital safety standards
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
