Travel Registered Nurse – Critical Care – Athens, Georgia
8-Week Contract (Potential Extension)Â
Connected Health Care, a leader in nationwide healthcare recruitment and travel staffing, is seeking an experienced Travel Critical Care Registered Nurse for a partnered hospital in Athens, GA. This opportunity is ideal for RNs with ICU or Step-Down experience who want to take the next step in their travel nursing career while enjoying one of Georgia’s most energetic and culturally rich cities.
Job Description
- Deliver high-quality patient care in ICU or step-down nursing units
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and operate critical care equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, recovery, and care plans
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies
- Respond effectively to emergencies and rapidly changing clinical situations
Education & Certification Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in ICU or step-down nursing
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Active Georgia RN license or compact RN license
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
