Job Description

Local Travel Registered Nurse – Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) -  Atlanta, GA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Compensation: Up to $2,290/Week (Based on Experience)
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Varies

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is partnered with a top-tier healthcare facility in Atlanta, GA, seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) for a local travel assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a nationally recognized oncology and transplant unit while enjoying competitive pay and flexible scheduling.

Job Description:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplants

  • Monitor and manage complex patient conditions including immunosuppression and infection prevention

  • Administer chemotherapy and blood products according to established protocols (if certified)

  • Perform frequent assessments, monitor lab values, and recognize early signs of complications

  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care

  • Educate patients and families about transplant procedures, side effects, and aftercare

  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care in Cerner electronic medical record system

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Bone Marrow Transplant, Oncology, or similar specialty

  • Active RN license in the state of Georgia (or compact license)

  • BLS certification – Required

  • ACLS, Chemotherapy certification, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Preferred

  • Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred

  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills
