Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Evansville, IN
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,550 (based on experience)
Shift Requirements: 12-hour Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse for an exciting 13-week contract opportunity with one of our trusted healthcare partners in Evansville, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses seeking to expand their clinical expertise in a supportive and collaborative hospital environment.
Position Overview
As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from surgery or dealing with various medical conditions. You’ll work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest level of care throughout their hospital stay.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to individuals with acute medical and post-surgical needs
• Monitor, assess, and record patient progress, implementing care plans as necessary
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and manage IV therapies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and recovery plans
• Float as needed within skillset to other units based on hospital requirements
• Maintain compliance with hospital safety and infection control standards
Requirements
• Active Compact RN License (must be current and valid upon submission)
• AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills
• Proficiency with EMR systems and adaptable in fast-paced settings
Additional Details
• Float Requirement: First to float within skillset
• On Call/Call Back Requirement: Not applicable
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends in every six-week schedule; every other holiday
