Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Evansville, IN
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,550 (based on experience)
Shift Requirements: 12-hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse for an exciting contract opportunity with one of our trusted healthcare partners in Evansville, Indiana. This role is perfect for nurses looking to join a dynamic medical-surgical team while exploring a vibrant and welcoming Midwest community.
Position Overview
As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, you’ll provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions. You’ll play a key role in patient assessment, care coordination, and treatment implementation while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with medical and post-surgical conditions
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage patient recovery and discharge plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document accurately using the facility’s EMR system
• Support patients and families by delivering education on treatment plans and ongoing care
• Float as needed within skillset to other units based on facility needs
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and safety procedures
Requirements
• Active Compact RN License (must be current upon submission)
• AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• EMR proficiency and adaptability in fast-paced environments
Additional Details
• Float Requirement: First to float within skillset
• On Call/Call Back Requirement: Not applicable
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends in every six-week schedule; every other holiday
