Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg | Evansville, IN
13-Week Contract | Up to $2,550 Weekly (Based on Experience)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner hospital in Evansville, Indiana. This is a great opportunity for nurses with strong Med/Surg backgrounds to work in a reputable, high-acuity facility while exploring one of Indiana’s most dynamic cities.
Shift Requirement: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Float Requirement: First to float within skillset
On-Call/Call-Back: Not required
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
Job Description:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on the Medical-Surgical unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions while implementing individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in Epic EMR
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge readiness
- Adapt to floating within skillset when necessary to support unit coverage needs
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Active Compact RN License or Indiana State RN License (must be current and active upon submission)
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS and NIHSS
- Minimum Experience:
- 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience
- At least 1 completed travel assignment
- Trauma Level II hospital experience required
- Recent Epic charting experience required
Contract Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Pay: Up to $2,550 (based on experience)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
