Job Description
Travel ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse – Evansville, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,550 (based on experience)
Shift: 12-hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
On Call/Call Back: N/A
Weekends/Holidays: Three weekends per six-week schedule, every other holiday
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a Travel ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our trusted hospital partner in Evansville, Indiana. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while enjoying the flexibility and rewards of travel nursing.
Job Description:
?• Deliver high-quality patient care in the ICU Stepdown unit, specializing in the management of complex cardiac and post-critical patients.
?• Monitor, assess, and document patients’ conditions using EPIC charting systems.
?• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
?• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
?• Respond quickly to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
?• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-hospital care.
?• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and quality assurance initiatives.
Education & Certification Requirements:
?• Active Compact RN License (must be current and attached upon submittal)
?• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
?• Minimum Experience:
??– 2 years of strong Cardiac/Telemetry experience
??– At least 1 completed travel assignment
??– Experience working in a Level II Trauma facility
?• Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required
