Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid State Nursing License required
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification (preferred), PALS Certification (preferred)
  • Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
  • Other Requirements: Ability to read telemetry, experience with insulin and cardiac drips, strong clinical assessment skills, ability to work independently, excellent communication skills

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective patient care in the Medical-Surgical unit by assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans.
  • Administer medications, including insulin and cardiac drips, following proper protocols and monitoring patient responses.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
  • Monitor telemetry readings to assess cardiac status and respond promptly to any arrhythmias or abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
