Local Travel ICU Registered Nurse - Nights - Mount Vernon, Illinois
13-Week Contract

Connected Health Care is proud to partner with a leading healthcare facility in Mount Vernon, IL, to offer an excellent Local Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity. This 13-week contract role features competitive weekly compensation up to $3,000 based on experience. If you have at least 2 years of ICU/critical care experience and the required certifications, this is the perfect local travel assignment for you!

Position Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,000 (based on experience)

  • Schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 12-hour night shifts

  • Float Requirements: May float to Medical-Surgical units or Emergency Department (orientation provided if needed)

  • On-Call/Call-Back: No on-call; call-back requires arrival within one hour if low census

  • Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday

Job Description

  • Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU

  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced treatments

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists

  • Float to Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department units as required, with proper orientation

  • Serve as House Supervisor on occasion when needed

  • Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic medical records

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU/Critical Care nursing experience

  • Valid Illinois RN license

  • Required Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS (attach upon application)

  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
