Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Portage, WI
13-Week Contract | Up to $3,300 per week (DOE)
Connected Health Care, a trusted recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a partner hospital in Portage, Wisconsin. This exciting travel assignment is perfect for RNs who are passionate about maternal health and looking to grow their career in a supportive, small-town community with access to scenic Wisconsin attractions.
Position Details
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,300 (based on experience)
- Shift Requirements: 12-Hour Day/Night Variable Shifts
- Weekend/Holiday: 2 weekends per month, holiday rotations required
- Float: OB and L&D, with potential float to Med/Surg, ER, or ICU for tasks as needed
- On-Call/Callback: No mandatory requirements; additional shifts may be available for coverage
- Charting System: EPIC (required)
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth process
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and progress of labor
- Assist with inductions, C-sections, and emergency situations as necessary
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC electronic health records
Education & Certification Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license (required)
- BLS and Advanced NRP (required)
- AWHONN and PALS (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years OB experience with direct Labor & Delivery background
- At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment (required)
- Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
