Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Sioux City, IA
13-Week Contract | Up to $3,030/Week Based on Experience
Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Connected Health Care, a nationally recognized recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a trusted healthcare partner in Sioux City, Iowa. This 13-week contract offers an exciting opportunity to support women and newborns through childbirth while earning competitive compensation in a welcoming Midwest community.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to laboring mothers, monitor fetal development, and assist during deliveries

  • Administer medications and IV fluids and manage pain relief options, including epidurals

  • Monitor vital signs, perform assessments, and document care using the facility’s EMR

  • Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Offer emotional support and education to patients and families throughout the birthing process

  • Ensure a sterile and safe environment for both mother and newborn during labor and delivery

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa or compact state – required

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience – required

  • BLS (AHA) – required

  • ACLS (AHA) – required

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required

  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification – required
