Job Requirements
- Education Requirements: Valid nursing degree from an accredited institution
- Certifications Requirements: WI or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or cardiac stepdown nursing experience; at least 1 travel contract completed preferred
- Other Requirements: Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, familiarity with routine cardiac care, current Epic charting experience within 12 months, physical ability to work 12-hour night shifts, resilient, adaptable, and capable of managing change

Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiac and intermediate care to cardiac and non-cardiac patients, including those recovering from open heart surgery, arrhythmias, and chest pain episodes.
- Interpret complex cardiac rhythms, monitor patient status closely, and intervene as needed to maintain stability and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in Epic, ensuring all records are current and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in patient education regarding cardiac health, procedures, and medications to promote recovery and self-care post-discharge.
