Full-Time Permanent OR Director – Graham, Texas
We are seeking a Full-Time Permanent OR Director to join our team in Graham, Texas. This is a 40-hour per week day shift position for an experienced Operating Room Director who is familiar with scrubbing, circulating, pre-op, and post-op duties. Job Description:
- Oversee daily operations in a busy operating room environment with 2 ORs performing 100-150 surgeries per month.
- Supervise, manage, and provide guidance to OR staff including surgeons, nurses, and other surgical personnel.
- Scrub, circulate, and assist with surgeries as needed, ensuring efficient and smooth procedures.
- Manage surgical schedules, coordinate resources, and maintain patient flow throughout the day.
- Assist with pre-op and post-op procedures, ensuring patients are properly prepared and recover safely.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, surgical protocols, and safety standards.
- Participate in staff training and quality improvement programs.
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and ensure proper functioning of medical equipment.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and enforce protocols for patient care, cleanliness, and safety during surgical procedures.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN accepted, MSN preferred.
- Active RN license required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification preferred.
- Previous OR Director or OR Nurse experience, especially in smaller healthcare settings, preferred.
- Meditech experience is a plus.
