Job Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and strategies to enhance recovery
- Work collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Document patient progress and treatment plans using the facility’s EMR system
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in occupational therapy practices
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- License: Active Iowa Occupational Therapist (OT) License (Must be submitted with application)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
- Experience: Minimum 1+ year of OT experience (Travel experience preferred)
- EMR Experience: Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus
