Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is seeking an Oncology Program Nurse Navigator.Â
The oncology nurse navigator is a professional RN, who follows a set of prescribed guidelines, uses the nursing process, bases care on the resources of health care facility, and provides quality cancer care to patients in a timely manner. The specialty nurse has strong interpersonal communication skills that easily and effectively enable exchange of information between all stakeholders in the oncology program. The nurse can discern the appropriate communication method for each stakeholder.
The oncology nurse provides accurate and necessary education to patients, families, and team members with the goal of increasing understanding and augmenting informed decision-making. The oncology RN establishes and maintains professional boundaries with all members of the oncology program team. S/he takes responsibility for ongoing professional growth and development.
Minimum Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred, and licensed in the State of Montana. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required. ACLS and NRP certifications will be required within a reasonable time frame, not to exceed 12 months. Â
