Travel OR RN – 10-Hour Night Shifts – Appleton, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a well-established healthcare facility in Appleton, Wisconsin to find a Travel OR RN for 10-hour night shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses (OR RN) with expertise in Orthopedic and Neurological surgeries to join a dedicated and skilled surgical team.

Job Description:

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, including preparation, positioning, and monitoring of patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist the surgical team by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available and sterile for the procedure.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile field during surgeries, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
• Monitor patients’ vitals and anesthesia during procedures and report any significant changes to the surgical team.
• Provide post-operative care and support to patients in the recovery room.
• Document all surgeries, patient assessments, and any issues in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Work closely with surgical teams to support Ortho and Neuro cases, providing exceptional care to patients.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Active WI RN License required.
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support), AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
• Must have experience with Orthopedic and Neurological procedures.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years of Operating Room experience.
• Experience in Ortho and Neuro surgeries required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization techniques, and patient care in the OR.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team-oriented environment.
