Orientation and Mobility Specialist – Dallas, TX
Contract: 36 Weeks | Compensation: Up to $63/hr (Based on Experience)

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm specializing in Healthcare and Educational Services, is seeking a passionate and experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist to join our trusted Educational Services partner near Dallas, TX. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in developing the critical skills needed for independence and safe travel in school and community settings.

Job Description:

  • Provide one-on-one and group orientation and mobility instruction to students with visual impairments

  • Assess students' abilities and develop individualized instructional plans

  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student progress and safety

  • Utilize appropriate tools and adaptive technologies to enhance student learning and navigation

  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional plans as needed

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility or related field

  • Certification by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP)

  • Texas state licensure or eligibility to obtain appropriate licensure

  • Experience working in school-based settings preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
