Job Description:
As a Paraprofessional, you will work directly with teachers and students to provide support in the classroom, ensuring that students receive the assistance they need to succeed academically and socially. You will help implement instructional plans, manage classroom behavior, and work closely with students who require additional support, making a positive impact on their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans and classroom activities.
- Support students with special needs, including helping them with lessons, assignments, and activities.
- Provide individual or small group instruction to reinforce lesson content.
- Help manage classroom behavior and provide students with emotional and social support.
- Monitor student progress and assist in modifying instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student development.
- Provide general classroom maintenance and assist in organizing educational materials.
- Aid in the supervision of students during non-classroom activities such as lunch or recess.
- Assist with record-keeping and maintaining student documentation.
Education + Certification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Paraprofessional Certification or equivalent in Arizona is preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to different student needs.
