Part-Time Inpatient Pharmacist – 24hrs per Week | Newton, KS

Position Overview – Part-Time Inpatient Pharmacist Job – Newton, KS
- Part-time schedule within a hospital/inpatient setting
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
- Monitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications
- Provide clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
- Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations
- Participate in medication therapy management and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with Kansas Board of Pharmacy and Joint Commission standards
- Maintain accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Required Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active Kansas Pharmacist License in good standing

- Previous inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience
- Completion of PGY-1 residency (preferred but not required)
- Strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice skills
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems and automated dispensing technology
