Job Description:

Student Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students' academic, behavioral, emotional, and social needs.
- Interpret test results and collaborate on the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Counseling and Intervention:
Provide individual and group counseling to support students' mental health and emotional well-being.
Develop and implement behavior management plans and crisis intervention strategies.
Collaboration and Consultation:
Work closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and other stakeholders to support students' academic and social success.
Serve as a resource for staff by providing professional development on mental health, classroom management, and effective teaching strategies.
Program Development and Implementation:
Develop and implement programs to promote positive school climate, social-emotional learning, and student resilience.
Advocate for and help establish evidence-based interventions to support diverse student needs.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided, evaluations, and progress monitoring.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Collect, analyze, and utilize data to inform decisions and improve student outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and supports.
Education and Certification Requirements:
All candidates must have Ohio Department of Education licenses, or be able to prove that licensure is pending.
