Job Description

Position: Part-time School Psychologist (20 hours/week)

Location: Newark, OH

Contract Length: ASAP to 5/23/25

Compensation: Up to $70/hr

Job Description:

  • Student Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students' academic, behavioral, emotional, and social needs.
  • Interpret test results and collaborate on the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Counseling and Intervention:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students' mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and implement behavior management plans and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Work closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and other stakeholders to support students' academic and social success.
  • Serve as a resource for staff by providing professional development on mental health, classroom management, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Program Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement programs to promote positive school climate, social-emotional learning, and student resilience.
  • Advocate for and help establish evidence-based interventions to support diverse student needs.
  • Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided, evaluations, and progress monitoring.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Collect, analyze, and utilize data to inform decisions and improve student outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and supports.

    Education and Certification Requirements:

  • All candidates must have Ohio Department of Education licenses, or be able to prove that licensure is pending.
