Night Shift | Charge Role | Level IV Trauma Center

Connected Healthcare is seeking an experienced and confident Emergency Room RN for per diem night shifts in Hallettsville, Texas. This PRN role is specifically for nurses with charge experience who are comfortable working independently in a small, rural ER setting.

  • Coverage Dates:

  • March 29-31

  • April 1

  • April 5

  • April 10

  • April 18

  • April 25-29

  • May 19-20

  • Hours: No guaranteed hours – PRN/As-Needed

  • Start Date: ASAP

    Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department

  • Act as Charge RN during assigned shifts

  • Triage and assess patients in a fast-paced, rural ER environment

  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders

  • Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and ancillary staff to ensure high-quality care

  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for accurate documentation

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and trauma protocols

    Qualifications

  • Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active Texas RN license or Compact License required

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required

  • Previous Charge RN experience required

  • Cerner EMR experience required

  • Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
