Per Diem Medical Lab Scientist
Location: Toledo, OH

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing agency, is currently seeking a Per Diem Medical Lab Scientist to join a highly respected healthcare facility near Toledo, Ohio. This flexible opportunity is ideal for experienced lab professionals looking to supplement their income, maintain work-life balance, or explore new clinical environments.

Job Description:

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis

  • Accurately analyze specimens to assist in diagnosing, treating, and preventing disease

  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy and safety

  • Adhere to strict quality control and regulatory compliance standards

  • Communicate results clearly and promptly with medical and nursing staff

  • Assist with maintaining documentation, test records, and inventory management

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field

  • ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible within 6 months) required

  • Current or eligible Ohio licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (if applicable)

  • Minimum of 1 year of hospital or clinical lab experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
