Job Description:
As an ICU/Stepdown Float RN, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to critically ill and high-acuity patients in both ICU and Stepdown units. You will work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care and help patients achieve the best possible outcomes. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and a passion for high-acuity patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in ICU and Stepdown units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing early signs of complications.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other interventions as required.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Float between ICU and Stepdown units as needed.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Active RN license in Ohio (or compact license with eligibility to practice in OH).
- Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Preferred Certifications: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
