Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist – Near Wooster, OH
Connected Health Care is seeking a Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for one of our valued healthcare partners in Wooster, Ohio. Position Overview
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages under physician direction. This role requires strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as ordered by physicians or approved practitioners
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Respond to emergency situations and actively participate in emergency drills
- Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment safely and effectively
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Support and involve Primary Support Persons (PSP) or family members in patient care when appropriate
- Ensure all respiratory care services are delivered in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
- Demonstrate professionalism, clinical competency, and commitment to organizational values
Education & Certification Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program – Required
- Active Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Ohio – Required
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certification – Required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certifications – Required (may be obtained during orientation)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification – Required (may be obtained within the first year)
- 1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience in a clinical or hospital setting – Preferred
