Job Description: As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the safe and effective dispensing of medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring the optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients. You will also offer advice to patients on the proper use of medications and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the best possible care.
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently to patients
- Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
- Counsel patients on the proper use of prescribed medications and over-the-counter products
- Monitor and manage patient medication therapy to optimize therapeutic outcomes
- Work with healthcare providers to recommend drug therapy alternatives or adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory standards
- Provide immunizations and other clinical services as required
- Assist in inventory management, including drug ordering and restocking
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school
- Active Pharmacist License in Montana (or eligibility to obtain)
- CPR/BLS Certification required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
- Previous experience in a retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred but not required
