Full-Time Pharmacist – Hospital Setting - Port Angeles, Washington
5x8 Day Shifts | Up to $212,000/Year

Position Overview
The Pharmacist is responsible for accurately reviewing, verifying, and dispensing medications, ensuring safe and effective medication therapy, and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a hospital-based healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and accurately dispense physician medication orders
- Evaluate medication dosing, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
- Provide clinical consultation and pharmacotherapy recommendations to providers and nursing staff
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians and ancillary staff
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations
- Participate in medication safety programs and quality assurance initiatives
- Monitor inpatient medication therapy for safety and effectiveness
- Support patient education and discharge counseling when applicable
- Utilize EMR systems and automated dispensing technology effectively
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited program preferred
or
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (if grandfathered and currently licensed)
Licensure & Certifications Required
- Active Washington State Pharmacist License in good standing
- Current BLS Certification (AHA)
- Immunization Certification preferred
- Board Certification such as BCPS preferred but not required
Experience
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of inpatient medication management
- Experience with EMR systems and automated dispensing systems
- Familiarity with state and federal pharmacy regulations
