Position Overview – Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M)
The Mammography Technologist will perform digital mammography procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and diagnostic image quality. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and compassionate patient interaction.
Mammography Technologist Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality digital screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Ensure proper patient positioning and compression techniques
- Operate and maintain mammography imaging equipment
- Follow MQSA regulations and California state compliance standards
- Administer and document patient history accurately
- Maintain strict radiation safety protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers
- Ensure accurate image documentation within PACS systems
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients
Education & Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active California Radiologic Technologist License required
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
- ARRT Certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) required
- Current BLS Certification preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent mammography experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MQSA guidelines and breast imaging protocols
Compensation & Schedule Details
- Part-Time or PRN Local Travel Opportunity
- Weekly Compensation up to $3,600 (based on experience and schedule)
- Opportunity for ongoing or extended assignments
