Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a skilled Travel Ultrasound Technologist for an exciting 13-week contract in Huron, South Dakota. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive healthcare environment while exploring one of the Midwest’s most charming and peaceful communities.

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Compensation: Up to $2,700 per week (based on experience)
Modality: OB, Vascular, and Abdominal Ultrasound
Job Description:
As a Travel Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic sonographic examinations across multiple specialties. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting physicians with accurate and timely imaging to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform OB, vascular, and abdominal ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
- Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust technical factors to ensure optimal image quality
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort
- Analyze images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists for accurate interpretation
- Maintain proper documentation and adhere to facility and safety guidelines
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operating efficiently
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS certification required in at least one specialty (OB, Vascular, or Abdomen)
- Experience performing OB, vascular, and abdominal ultrasounds required
- No state license required for South Dakota
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and image quality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate approach to patient care
