This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated imaging team providing compassionate, high-quality diagnostic care to patients.
Position Overview
The Mammographer will be responsible for performing mammography procedures following established protocols and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in early detection and prevention, ensuring patients receive the best possible care in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with facility protocols and MQSA standards.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging results per facility policy.
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain mammography equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuing education and quality assurance activities.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited radiology program meeting ARRT standards.
- Successful completion of an approved MQSA training course with certification.
- One (1) year of experience in the field of clinical radiology.
- Current ARRT certification with (M) registry; must maintain ARRT Certification and continuing education requirements.
- Current MRT and Mammography licenses in the State of Texas.
