Position Overview
The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with established imaging protocols. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a patient-focused clinical environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Ensure patient safety, screening, and proper positioning for MRI exams
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Accurately document patient history, procedures, and imaging results
- Follow all safety guidelines related to MRI procedures and contrast administration
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory standards
Education and Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography required
- ARRT certification in MRI preferred or required based on facility guidelines
- Active Alabama Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility to obtain
- Current BLS certification
