Job Description

Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician – Pikeville, KY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,000 (based on experience)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Days

Connected Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician for an exciting opportunity in Pikeville, Kentucky. This position offers the chance to join a dedicated imaging team in a dynamic medical environment, while exploring the natural beauty and charm of Eastern Kentucky.

Job Description

  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using state-of-the-art imaging technology

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to established protocols

  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment including gamma cameras, PET scanners, and radiation detection devices

  • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures

  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards

  • Document all procedures and patient information in accordance with facility and HIPAA guidelines

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide quality patient care

  • Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations as scheduled

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program required

  • NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required

  • Kentucky State Nuclear Medicine Certification required

  • AHA BLS Certification required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine

  • Proficiency with Siemens imaging systems and keyboard patient registration required

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality imaging
