Local Travel Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician – Pikeville, KY

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is currently seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician for a local travel assignment with one of our top-tier healthcare partners in Pikeville, KY. Position Overview:

  • Location: Pikeville, KY

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour day shifts)

  • Compensation: Up to $3,150/week depending on experience

  • On-Call Requirements: 1–2 days per week and one weekend per month

  • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: As scheduled by the facility

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures under the direction of a radiologist

  • Prepare and position patients for vascular and non-vascular image-guided procedures

  • Operate fluoroscopic and other imaging equipment in a sterile environment

  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures and communicate any changes to the care team

  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely updates in EPIC charting system

  • Maintain equipment and inventory, ensuring all tools and materials are sterile and functional

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

  • ARRT Certification (Interventional Radiology preferred)

  • Kentucky State Certification

  • BLS Certification

  • Completion of an EKG Class and annual recertification required

  • Minimum 1 year of IR Tech experience

  • EPIC experience preferred
