Job Description

Job Title: Rad Tech - Surgery Center  

Type: Direct Hire

Schedule:

  • 5x8-hour shifts
  • 40 hours weekly
  • Facility hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (end time may vary based on the last case of the day)

EMR: Nextgen

Operating Rooms: 2

Surgeries per Month: 200

Interview Process:

  1. Video interview with the Facility Administrator
  2. Onsite interview with a 2-hour shadow

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist the clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation, post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm, scrubbing in for procedures, and cleaning and sterilizing tools and equipment.
  2. Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies.
  3. Maintain radiology safety-monitoring procedures and may serve as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the center or Safety Officer.
  4. Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and provide assistance in transporting patients within the center.
  5. Participate in community education activities regarding the access center.

Education, Experience, Certifications:

  1. High School Diploma (required)
  2. Associate degree in science or successful completion of a formal educational program accepted by AART (required)
  3. 1 year of experience in general diagnostic, special procedures, or cardiac catheterization (required)
  4. Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
  5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
  6. Basic computer skills (preferred)

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

  1. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) (required)
  2. State license and/or fluoroscopic permit to practice Radiologic technology if required by state law (required)
