Radiology Technician (Direct Hire) - $65,000/yr
Location: Springfield, MA
Reports to: OR Manager, Director of Nursing

No nights, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call requirement

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopy (C-arm) procedures in the operating room and participating in preoperative patient assessments. Additionally, you will ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment and maintain a log of all C-arm procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform fluoroscopy procedures in the operating room setting.
  • Participate in preoperative patient assessments, including C-arm procedures.
  • Maintain and document proper calibration of equipment.
  • Keep a log of all C-arm procedures performed.
  • Support the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Center.
  • Adhere to approved policies and procedures.
  • Participate as a team member in the perioperative process.
  • Consider patient rights in the performance of job duties.
  • Contribute to the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program.
  • Support risk management and patient/staff safety programs.
  • Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Maintain and promote professional competence through continuing education.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Associate Degree in Applied Science (A.S) or equivalent.
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of radiology technician experience preferred.
  • A.A.R.T certification.
  • BLS certification.

Computer Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, use hands, reach, talk, hear, climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
