Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating all radiology equipment (except ultrasound) independently. The role requires taking call with a maximum 20-minute response time and the ability to follow directions from the Radiology Director, Radiologists, and Physicians.
Essential Duties:
- Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and special radiographs; properly save/display examinations according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Practice sterile techniques in all procedures requiring such techniques.
- Keep an accurate log of all patients and procedures done.
- Observe patient and equipment during procedures to ensure safety; report any problems to the Assistant Director of Imaging or Director immediately.
- Perform portable imaging in the emergency room or patient room and C-arm procedures in surgery.
- Perform basic head, abdominal, pelvic, and spine CT examinations; conduct basic helical CT examinations.
- Perform helical CT scans of the chest for pulmonary embolism and/or dissecting aneurysm.
- Clean and disinfect room/equipment after each procedure.
- Transport patients to and from the Imaging Department.
- Maintain stock, supplies, and perform general clerical duties.
- Assist the Radiologist in performing CT guided biopsies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- Education and License: Graduation (diploma or certificate) from an accredited JRCERT School of Radiologic Technology. Licensed with the National Registry (ARRT) and the State of Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (or eligible for licensing by the State of Oregon).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a hospital Radiology Department and one (1) year of clinical experience on a CT scanner in a hospital Radiology Department or clinic.

Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of computer, phone, and other standard office machines.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull using proper body mechanics, and move/lift up to 50 lbs.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary ranges from $30.90/hour to $46.43/hour, with additional pay for experience in other modalities.
