Travel Radiation Technologist – Big Timber, Montana – Days Shift

We are seeking an experienced Travel Radiation Technologist to join a healthcare facility in Big Timber, Montana. This position is for day shifts, and while CT experience is preferred, certification is not required. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a rural setting while gaining valuable experience in radiologic technology.

Job Description:

  • Perform radiologic imaging for patients, including X-rays and CT scans (if applicable) to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
  • Ensure quality diagnostic images are obtained, using appropriate radiologic techniques and positioning.
  • Administer contrast agents for imaging procedures and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment, ensuring that all devices are working correctly and safely.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results, and enter them into the EMR system for review by physicians and radiologists.
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize patient exposure to radiation, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
  • Assist with patient care as needed, providing support and reassurance during imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic information.

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Radiologic Technology degree from an accredited institution.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred but not required.
  • CT experience preferred, but not mandatory.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • No certification required for this role, but prior experience and demonstrated competency in radiologic technology is highly valued.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Experience in CT imaging is preferred, though not required.
  • Ability to work with various imaging modalities, including X-ray and CT.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Good communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
