Connected Health Care is partnered with a critical access facility in need of a full-time Radiology Technologist with multi modalities. This facility is located in Sidney, Nebraska. If you are an experienced or new grad looking for your next opportunity, this may be for you!
A radiologic technologist with multi-modality skills plays a critical role in the field of medical imaging by performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using different modalities. This professional is proficient in operating and maintaining equipment for various imaging techniques, such as X-ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and more. The job description for a multi-modality radiology technologist typically includes the following responsibilities:

Performing Imaging Procedures: Conduct a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other modalities, based on the patient's clinical condition and the physician's orders.

Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and ensuring they are comfortable and properly positioned to obtain accurate images.

Equipment Operation: Operate complex imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, MRI scanners, CT scanners, and other specialized devices. Follow established protocols and ensure safety measures are in place.

Contrast Administration: Administer contrast agents as necessary for certain imaging procedures to enhance visualization. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.

Image Quality Control: Ensure the quality and accuracy of acquired images by adjusting imaging parameters and positioning techniques. Review images to identify technical issues that might affect diagnostic quality.

Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself. Use protective equipment and techniques to ensure safety.

Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging modality and protocol for each patient. Communicate effectively to provide essential clinical information.

Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of patient procedures, imaging parameters, contrast usage, and any relevant information as required by departmental and regulatory guidelines.

Patient Care and Comfort: Ensure a positive patient experience by maintaining a caring and empathetic approach, addressing patient concerns, and minimizing discomfort during procedures.

Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure that imaging equipment is functioning optimally and producing high-quality images.

Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in medical imaging through ongoing professional development and continuing education activities.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond effectively to any medical emergencies that might occur during imaging procedures.

Adherence to Regulations: Follow all relevant legal and ethical guidelines, including patient confidentiality and safety regulations, while performing imaging procedures.

Multi-Modality Expertise: Utilize your expertise in multiple imaging modalities to contribute to accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans.

Flexibility: Adapt to changes in scheduling, equipment, and protocols, while maintaining a focus on patient care and safety.
Qualifications:
-Associates or Bachelors degree
-Completion of accredited educational program in radiology technology
-ARRT certification
-NE Radiology license
