Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Reno, NV

13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 5x8s Schedule | 40 Hours/Week | Up to $1,600/Week

Assignment Details

  • Position: Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

  • Location: Reno, NV

  • Facility Setting: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8s (40 hours/week)

  • Pay: Up to $1,600 per week

  • Start: ASAP

Job Responsibilities

As a Travel COTA, you will support patients in achieving meaningful, functional outcomes by assisting with therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility training

  • Provide therapeutic exercises to enhance strength, coordination, balance, and endurance

  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies

  • Accurately document patient progress in compliance with facility and state regulations

  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, nursing staff, and case managers

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Nevada or eligibility for licensure

  • NBCOT certification required

  • Minimum of 1 year of COTA experience (LTC/SNF experience preferred)

  • CPR/BLS certification (current)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
