Travel ICU Nurse – 12-Hour Night Shifts – Wausau, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a renowned healthcare facility in Wausau, Wisconsin to find a Travel ICU Nurse for 12-hour night shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses with cardiac experience to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while providing top-notch care to critically ill patients.

Job Description:

• Provide critical care to patients in the ICU, monitoring vital signs and managing life-sustaining treatments.
• Administer medications, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Provide advanced care and assessments for cardiac patients, including post-op hearts.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Swans, IABPs, and other life-saving devices.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient care.
• Document patient status and treatments in compliance with hospital policies.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during critical situations.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• WI RN License required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CCRN certification preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience in an ICU setting required.

Required Experience:

• At least 2 years of ICU nursing experience, with a focus on cardiac care.
• Proficiency in working with specialized cardiac equipment such as Swans, IABPs, and post-op cardiac patients.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
