Travel CVIVU RN – 12-Hour Day Shifts – Wausau, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a well-established healthcare facility in Wausau, Wisconsin to find a Travel CVIVU RN for 12-hour day shifts. This is a great opportunity for experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Vascular Unit nurses to provide specialized care to patients recovering from complex cardiovascular and vascular procedures.

Job Description:

• Provide direct patient care in the CVICU and Vascular Unit, managing patients with cardiac and vascular conditions.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and other critical treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-operative care following cardiac surgeries, angioplasty, and stent placements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans for patients with cardiovascular and vascular needs.
• Perform critical assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Educate patients and families about recovery processes, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention.
• Adhere to hospital policies and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Active RN License required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• CVICU experience preferred.
• Telemetry or Vascular nursing experience preferred.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVICU or Vascular Unit nursing.
• Proficiency in managing complex cardiovascular patients, including post-surgical care and acute interventions.
• Ability to monitor and assess patients with cardiovascular conditions, respond to changes in vital signs, and perform interventions as necessary.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and patients’ families.
