Job Description:

• Provide emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting, delivering assessments, treatments, and interventions as needed.
• Monitor patients in critical and non-critical conditions, ensuring that their health and safety are prioritized.
• Perform triage and prioritize cases based on severity, ensuring that the most critical patients receive care first.
• Work closely with the physician team to assist in diagnostic testing, emergency procedures, and treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation of all interventions.
• Ensure that patient confidentiality and safety protocols are always maintained.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, specialists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Utilize the EMR system for accurate documentation of patient records, medical history, and treatment progress.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during traumatic or stressful situations.
• Participate in shift handovers and ensure smooth transition of patient care between shifts.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required.
• Previous experience in critical care settings such as ER, ICU, or trauma care preferred.
