Permanent Critical Access RN – 12-Hour Shifts 12p-12a – Kellogg, Idaho
Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Kellogg, Idaho to find a Travel Critical Access RN for 12-hour shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a Critical Access Hospital providing care in Emergency Department (ED), Long-Term Care (LTC), and Medical-Surgical (MS) units.
Job Description:
- Provide direct patient care in a Critical Access Hospital, including the Emergency Department, Long-Term Care, and Medical-Surgical units.
- Assess, plan, and implement patient care, providing a broad range of nursing interventions to patients with varying conditions.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and manage patients in critical, acute, and chronic care situations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide education to patients and their families about care plans, health management, and disease prevention.
- Respond to emergency situations in the ED, providing immediate care to trauma patients, medical emergencies, and critical conditions.
- Handle Long-Term Care residents with varying levels of care needs, including rehabilitation, end-of-life care, and chronic condition management.
- Provide Medical-Surgical care to post-operative patients, those recovering from illness, and patients needing medical support.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain up-to-date knowledge in critical care and hospital protocols.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Active RN License required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications preferred.
- Critical Access Hospital experience preferred but not required.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Critical Access RN or in ED, LTC, or MS nursing roles.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills for emergency and acute care situations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams and families.
