Job Description:

• Provide direct patient care, assessment, and monitoring in the intensive care unit (ICU) or medical-surgical (Med/Surg) units.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vital signs, response to treatment, and changes in condition, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control measures, and regulatory compliance activities.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in ICU or Med/Surg settings preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
