Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to find a Travel Intermediate Care - IMC - RN for 12-hour night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced IMC nurses to provide high-quality care in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Job Description:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), managing patients with moderate to high acuity needs.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, conditions, and response to treatments, making adjustments as necessary.
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and other critical treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Perform assessments and interventions on patients recovering from surgery or with chronic medical conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Educate patients and families on health management, recovery processes, and preventive measures.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols to provide a safe environment for patients.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Active RN License required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
• Experience in Intermediate Care or Step-Down Unit nursing preferred.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of Intermediate Care nursing experience or relevant experience in high-acuity nursing settings.
• Proficiency in monitoring patients with chronic conditions, recovering from surgeries, or in need of high-level nursing care.
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to make quick decisions in critical situations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
