Travel Interventional Radiologist – 8-Hour Day Shifts – Wausau, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Wausau, Wisconsin to find a Travel Interventional Radiologist for 8-hour day shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interventional Radiologist to work in a well-equipped facility while making a significant impact on patient care.

Job Description:

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures such as angiography, stent placement, biopsies, and catheter insertions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop and implement interventional procedures.
• Ensure that all interventional procedures are performed in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Review and analyze medical imaging and clinical data to determine the appropriate course of action for interventional treatments.
• Educate patients about their procedures, potential risks, and recovery processes.
• Document all procedures, patient interactions, and outcomes in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Provide leadership and expertise in managing complex cases within the radiology department.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified Interventional Radiologist required.
• Active MD License in the state of Wisconsin or ability to obtain.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
• Experience in interventional radiology required, including diagnostic angiography, biopsy procedures, and catheter-based interventions.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Proficiency in advanced interventional radiology procedures.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to evaluate complex medical imaging.
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent patient communication skills, including the ability to educate patients on procedures and aftercare.
