Travel Labor and Delivery RN – 12-Hour Night Shifts – Portage, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Portage, Wisconsin to find a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for 12-hour night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled L&D nurses to join a dedicated team and provide outstanding care in a supportive environment.

Job Description:

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to expectant mothers throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, and maternal vital signs during labor.
• Assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring patient and newborn safety.
• Administer medications, including epidurals and pain management, as prescribed.
• Provide immediate care to newborns, including initial assessments and support for breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families about the birthing process, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Active RN License required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
• AHWONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses) certification preferred.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Experience in both low-risk and high-risk labor and delivery situations.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
